Highly anticipated 2017 reads

There will be more then these coming out this year that I’ll want to read and this list is basically all sequels or finales , but so far here is my list:

Dawn Study by Maria V Snyder (out now, I believe) – I’ve needed this for months

A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers (might have actually been released in 2016? I’ve heard conflicting reports on this) – a companion not a sequel, however still highly anticipated

Firebrand by Kristen Britain (March 9th) – its been like 2 years since the last one and I really need to know where the story goes

Third Illuminae book by Kaufman and Kristoff (supposed to be out in October) – Well I need to know how it ends, of course!  Plus there was a kind of cliffhanger at the end that makes me need more, now!

A Spy’s Guide to Tortall by Tamora Pierce (October 31st) – FINALLY SOMETHING TP IS COMING OUT EVEN THOUGH IT’S NOT THE NUMAIR BOOKS WHICH I HAVE TO WAIT A WHOLE OTHER YEAR FOR BUT STILL THERE IS A NEW BOOK!!!!!

Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire – another companion, but still of interest!

  1. I am currently reading Dawn Study. I’m not that far in but so far so good. And yes! I am so excited about this new Tortall book – it’ll be the perfect holiday gift for any fan of Pierce’s books.

      • A Numair book? Really?! Omg that’s awesome! I did not hear about that. Thanks for telling me! Agreed, it has been far too long since we’ve gotten to enjoy one of Pierce’s books. I think I might have to re-read some of her books over the summer to prep myself for future awesomeness 🙂

      • ACTUALLY THERE WILL BE THREE. One next year, one the year after and the last one the year after (roughly). She’s written them and edited the first one as far as I know, so these dates are pretty accurate. Also they are in the middle of converting Protector of the Small into a graphic novel series: the ‘script’ is written, they are looking into artists last time I heard. So it’ll be a bit before that comes out, but I CANNOT WAIT!!!
